About the house
Spaceman Recordings is a small independent publishing house run by a tight team of producers, mastering engineers, and a catalog lawyer who reads contracts faster than anyone we know.
We sign work for the catalog, not for the moment. Contracts are short and one-sided in the artist's favor. Royalties are paid quarterly, on schedule.
Every title we sign stays in print on at least one physical format for the life of the catalog.
What we actually do.
We do not subcontract publishing administration, we do not outsource sync, and the engineer who cuts the lacquer is the same person who supervises the digital master.
- 01
Publishing administration
Composition admin, neighboring rights, and mechanical collection across forty-seven societies. Splits reconciled down to the second.
- 02
Sync licensing
An in-house team places catalog into film, advertising, and games. Briefs answered inside one business day with pre-cleared masters.
- 03
Mastering and physical
In-house mastering room. Vinyl cuts, cassette runs, and lossless masters supervised by the same engineer from session to lacquer.
- 04
Catalog stewardship
Long-term residency for finished work. Every title we sign stays in print on at least one physical format for the life of the catalog.
Inquiries
Sync briefs, licensing requests, catalog acquisitions, press, and labels winding down operations. Mail goes to a person who reads it and writes back.
